Stroma whisky liqueur is a careful blend of malt whiskies from Old Pulteney's multi-award winning collection. Bottled at 35% ABV, its smooth, sweet taste has robust and rugged undertones with a warm and comforting finish. Stroma is traditionally served neat or over crushed ice, however this whisky liqueur is wonderfully versatile and tastes equally good as part of a cocktail.
The story of Stroma Liqueur begins with Old Pulteney Distillery Manager, Malcolm Waring. With a wealth of experience crafting fine highland single malt, Malcolm is perfectly placed to create our award-winning whisky liqueur.
Malcolm begins by carefully selecting casks of whisky from Pulteney Distillery's warehouses in Wick before following a closely guarded recipe which combines Old Pulteney's unashamedly excellent fine single malt whisky with a secret combination of ingredients. This is then left to mature a while longer to offer you a liqueur bursting with robust mouth-watering flavour.
Stroma is the perfect addition to any drinks cabinet. A drink for every mood or occasion, whether a twist on a classic or something a little more modern. Your new favourite drink could be a shake or stir away.

The name, Stroma Liqueur, was inspired by an island just off of the rugged coast of Caithness. Translating to "island in the stream" the Isle's name also refers to the dangerous currents on the island's shores, currents that have ran many a ship ashore and may indeed play a role in the island being entirely deserted by humans since 1962.
Stroma Liqueur remains as a lasting legacy to those hardy islanders and the tough conditions which they endured.
Every aspect of Stroma liqueur is designed to embody the intrigue, craft and history of the island and Old Pulteney's seafaring roots. With a unique 50cl bottle featuring an emblem that symbolises the crashing waves that hit the island and packaged in striking black and gold – including a foil neck tag which includes our story and tasting notes; an excellent addition to any drinks cabinet we're sure you'll agree.
